Tammy and family. We love you very much. We loved Mike and his sense of humor. A funny memory he was on a “stake out” near Newberg and I pulled in and noticed him, of course we always talked, so why not now....he was so gracious and kind and kept his eye on the suspect and continued our conversation. Such a wonderful person and soon we will see him wake up into your beautiful arms but in paradise and this time you will have room in your boat for him. Your Mike. Love you. Please take care of yourself and hope to see you soon. your friends ANDY and LaLa (obviously the stake out boo boo was LaLa)

My love and prayers are with all of you in this time of sorrow and happiness, in the comfort of knowing you are in a better place to spend the rest of your days, free of pain, free of cancer, free of any burden and to live in eternity in beauty. I will be praying for the hearts of your family still left here on earth and for comfort to them, to be able to feel your love wrapped around them and to know you are always in their heart and are always still there for each of them.
You were always a kind, loving man who cared for others and changed lives because of your kind heart.
You were quiet at times and took the time to listen and to figure out how best you could love, support and care about others.
You did this at work and at home with your family. You served kids for you career and helped to make their lives better.
You gave your heart and soul to your family and blessed them in many countless ways, being a kind loving husband, father, uncle, grandpa and friend. You will be missed but I know your light will continue to always shine in this world.
Thank you for being you and for the love and friendship you shared with everyone. You will forever be in our hearts.

Tammy, so sorry to hear about Michael. He was always willing to help me with technology problems, and gave me grief when I tried something"outside the box". His leadership at Newberg School District was evident in many ways. He will be missed.

I worked with Michael for a number of years in Newberg. Michael was such a great person to know and have as a friend. He was always an encouragement to everyone he knew and always willing to help when you needed it. I have never met someone as brilliant with computers as Michael. He could locate information on a computer that everyone else thought was long gone and fix even the most difficult program issues. He was honest and hard working with a great sense of humor. He was a person I knew I could go to and talk with and get and honest opinion and great advice. Michael will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. He was a great person and a great friend! My prayers are with Tammy and the entire family! Thank you for all you have done to support and care for Michael all these years. He really loved all of you!

I had the honor of attending the reserve academy with Mike. His warm smile, supportive pep talks and his calm demeanor helped me through a very tough academy. He was a true blue family man and friend. Prayers for his family from ours.

Love you Dad. Miss you so much but we'll see each other again. Thank you for always being there for us and always caring no matter how hard it was. Even when that meant chasing my dog down the street at 2am just because you didn't want me to be upset if something happened to her. For taking me to the gun range, for working on my car with me, for all the open conversations we had about life. Thanks being a counselor and friend to me. Thank you for all you put into us and loving us as your own. Thanks for being the best Papa. Love you Dad❤️❤️
