Sibyl Kirby Iris; DOB: May 18, 1934; DOD:
Sibyl was born in Ely Minnesota to William Spreitzer and Kathleen (King) Spreitzer. She married James Kirby and they had four children together. After raising her children, she earned a Sociology Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Fresno in 1986.
Sibyl had interesting jobs from Rural Newspaper Delivery Driver at The Hanford Sentinel to Business Form Designer at The Standard Register. She was most proud of her work as a Certified Nurse Aide in the Hospice department of Saint Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, California. She retired to care for her dying mother in. At the age of 72, she drove alone all of the way to Rhode Island Maine and back to reconnect with family all along the way.
Sibyl's greatest joys in senior life were tending to her glorious garden in Clovis, feeding peanuts to the blue birds, reading, socializing with friends, yard sailing, traveling, and watching documentaries. She lived in Hanford and Clovis California, before moving to Silverton Oregon in 2013. She has lived in Mount Angel for the last five years.
Sibyl is survived by her children: Jan Mccorkle, Diane Milton and husband Rick, Bill Kirby, Ken Kirby and wife Ana; grandchild: Laura Mccorkle, Nathan Milton, and Jacob Milton. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters: Joy Hasard, and Nancy Kirk.
There is no public funeral service planned.
